Hinterhof

Eine cnc-Fräse trennte aus jeder der beiden Rohspanplatten eine Form heraus. Die Künstlerin legte die Platten übereinander. Es bildet sich ein Raum, der nur aus der Vogelperspektive ganz zu erfassen ist. Die fotografischen Vorlagen entstanden in zwei verschiedenen Hinterhöfen: eine in Oslo, eine in Damaskus.

Courtyard
2012, chipboard, approx. 9 × 120 × 160 cm

A cnc milling machine cut out a shape of each of the two raw chipboards. The artist laid the panel on top of each other. They create another form that can only be fully perceived from above. The photographs these shapes are based on were taken in two different courtyards: one in Oslo, one in Damascus.
