Auf den ersten Blick scheinen die beiden Abzüge identisch zu sein. Ihnen liegt dasselbe analoge Negativ eines Architekturdetails zugrunde, das Denise Winter auf einer Reise in Syrien aufnahm. Den einen Fotoabzug entwickelte ein Laborant in Oslo, den zweiten eine Laborantin in Dresden. Lediglich die Maße waren dabei vorgeschrieben, die interpretatorische Auslegung blieb ihnen überlassen.

At first glance, the two prints seem to be identical. They are based on the same analogue negative of an architectural detail that Denise Winter took on a trip to Syria. One of the prints was developed by a laboratory assistant in Oslo, Norway, and the other by a laboratory assistant in Dresden, Germany. Only the dimensions were stipulated, the interpretation was left to them.
