Eine Aluminiumplatte mit sieben geometrischen Aussparungen lehnt an der Wand. Zwischen Wand und Platte bildet sich ein Raum, der 0,7 m3³ oder größer ist. Das Licht lässt einen Schatten entstehen, der sich je nach Einfall auch außerhalb des entstandenen Raums auf der Ausstellungswand weiter ausbreitet. Boxhome ist der Entstehungsort der fotografischen Vorlage und ein Projekt für eine Kleinstwohnung. Aus der Fotografie, eine Aufnahme des Flur-Raums aus der Vogelperspektive, entfernte Denise Winter die Schatten und Spiegelungen und übertrug die Vorlage in exakter Anordnung auf eine Aluminiumplatte, deren Maße der Wohnungsgrundfläche entsprechen. Ein Laser trennte die Formen heraus, sodass eine Negativform entstand.

An aluminium plate with seven geometric recesses leans against the wall. This forms a space that is 0.7 m, maybe larger. Depending on the lighting conditions, a shadow is cast that spreads across the exhibition wall outside of the marked space. The Boxhome project, where the template photograph was created, is a tiny apartment. Denise Winter removed shadows and reflections from the photograph, a bird’s eye view of a section of the apartment’s corridor, and transferred the original in an exact arrangement onto an aluminium plate. The dimensions of the plate correspond to the floor area of the apartment. A laser cut out the shapes, creating a negative form.
